How did you come to start your LJ?
I was being pissy at ff.net, as I recall because they kept getting rid of fics that I liked and...eventually just ended up here.
How did you find your first friends?
I can't remember.
Are those first friends still on your FL?
*shrugs*
How long have you been on LJ?
Since 2004...I think.
Do you have more friends or communities on your FL?
Communities. Although most of them I'm just watching, several are dead and I've never actually posted to a couple of them.
Do you do a lot of friends cuts?
No. I rarely do any. If someone defriends me, I'll do it back, but...
What do you like in an LJ friend?
I like people that will actually talk to me, not just add my lj because I'm the friend of one of their friends, or we've both been in

What do you dislike?
...*shrugs*
What would make you un-friend someone immediately?
I don't know.
Have you been caught up in a lot of LJ drama?
I...actually, no. I pay attention to LJ drama (and fandom drama in general, as I'm a member of fandom_wank over on JF), but I never seem to get caught up in it. I seem to avoid BRRP drama too. Lucky me. :D
Do real-life friends and family members know you have a journal on LJ?
Friends, yes. Family members no (this adding to a list of things my family don't know about me, including my sexual orientation, the £150 Sisters of Battle army I'm hiding at my best friend's house, just how many Torchwood/Doctor Who DVD's and books I've bought over the last year, my DS and just what BRRP's actually about. :D
Do you also have Facebook and if so, what do you prefer – LJ or FB?
LJ. No contest. I have a Facebook (and I'm on there under my actual name, if any of you didn't know), but I barely use it.
What about Twitter?
I have a Twitter that I've never used too.
Do you blog on any other sites?
I have a few rp journals here, a JF journal and an Inksome! journal that I've not used yet.
How often do you check in on LJ?
I usually have it on all day.
What do you rarely or never post about?
I guess I don't post much about me. I say what's happened lately, and on occasion complain about stress, but I don't go into any detail. I don't say how it makes me feel, what I plan on doing with holidays, why something bothered me so much...
Why don't you post about that?
Because I'm not really used to talking about myself. I don't do it in real life (in fact, most of my friends have made regular complaints about this) because I'm just not comfortable with talking in any detail about my life. I used to be, but that was a while ago.
Have you ever thought about deleting your journal?
Once or twice.
Have you ever changed your username?
No.
Why did you choose your current username?
Um...I use this everywhere. If you see someone called rushikayu13 anywhere, it's either me or someone pretending to be me. I wanted something that was like my name, but wasn't so one of my friends in high school, who was a bit of a Japanophile, suggested this. 13 is my second lucky number (aside from 22, for obvious reasons) although...I don't think I was 13 when I started using it. I think I was actually 12, but...*shrugs*
If you're looking for new friends, how do you find them?
Usually, we've been in a fic challenge together, or a roleplay version. Something fandom related.
Are you taking new people on to your Friends List just now?
Well, I'm never going to outright say 'no, I'm not friending you because you are a fucking wanker and I hate your guts' and very few of my posts are f-locked, so it doesn't much matter even if I don't friend people, but at the moment, not really.
Finally, tell us the reasons why you keep an online journal.
Somewhere to squee (and groan) about fandom. Somewhere where I can occasionally get sympathy (my family and friends aren't really that good for that). Somewhere where I'm not looked at like I'm crazy just because I'd rather talk about manga with 15 year olds killing each other, or argue over why I think orgies are the answer to shipping wars (I'm sorry, but Doctor Who can be settled so easily with this...although there would probably be an argument about who'd be the first one to suggest it. I'd bet Turlough, if only because Jack would be too busy staring in awe at the amount of people that the Doctor has had travelling with him) than my actual, rather boring life at a rather rubbish university.
