Name five qualities you always find attractive in fictional characters.

1. *inverts Tallulah's 1.* I happen to like the people that aren't always in control of everything. They're scared and hurting but they're still desperately trying to do the right thing, even if they don't know how. Or even what the right thing is.

So yay for Yutaka and Yuichiro.

2. I like the antihero characters. That are always doing the right thing for the wrong reasons -or at least that's what they tell us- and are always happy to lend a hand if someone's challenging authority.

Hello, Hirono and Shinji.

3. Insanity. Whether the character is actually insane or not is beyond the point, I just want them to act crazy. Whether it's 'good crazy' or the bad psychotic kind is also beyond the point.

Best example of this is possibly Luna Lovegood.

4. Snark. Often used in conjunction with 2, especially in the two characters mentioned. In some cases, it's the only reason why I like them (*cough* Owen *cough*). As well as the above mentioned cases, Sawyer and Balthier also are big examples in completely different ways. :D

5. In opposition to 2) I also like the characters that are doing the wrong thing for the right reasons. That would be Vayne, Alistair, Ianto (during Cyberwoman), probably Kurosawa's gang and several members of the Wild Seven. :D
