...Lectures are okay.

I have Comparative Politics early Monday morning and it makes me want to shoot myself. It's so fucking hard, and the teacher uses big fucking words and talks too fucking quickly and there's a 3000 word essay at the end of it that I don't even want to fucking think about.

After that, I have Global Conflict and Co-operation. I enjoy it. I really do. Despite not having done the previous Level 2 module that should have been done first (and I'm the only person in the damn class who didn't take it last year. Because I'm just that fucking hopeless). The coursework is hard, the lecturer is an unapologetic left-wing feminist and...it suits me very well. :D

Tuesday mornings mean US Presidency. This is a good thing, because (unlike Global Conflict and Co-operation) I actually did the previous course on US Politics (granted, my marks were rubbish, but you can't have everything) and the lecturer is nice and wanders around wearing purple jumpers and extolling the virtues of Jimmy Carter (the latter of which he did not do last year).

Tuesday afternoon is Rise and Downfall of Nazi Germany. Gotta admit, this was the lecture I was dreading. I've had the lecturer before and he was a bit of a dick to me (me personally, I might add), since he doesn't give handouts and speaks so fucking fast that you can't take any notes. EVER. I asked him nicely to slow down, and he shouted at me.

However, it's been an interesting lecture. This year, it seems like he's figured out that we're not going to do very well if we don't have notes, and sends us them by e-mail after class. And, since I'm the only person in the whole of the UK (I'm not kidding) who has actually never studied Nazi Germany before, I'm finding it all very new.

Wednesday morning is British Newspaper History. Where a very posh lecturer manages to make Victorian child prostitution boring as fuck.

I don't have lectures Wednesday afternoon or Thursday morning, so then I have Entertainment, Sentiment and Conflict: British Popular Culture 1755-1914 Thursday afternoons. Done by the same lecturer who did British Political History last year. He's funny, gives detailed handouts and is a bit of a lenient marker. Can't ask for much more, really. :D

I don't have lectures on Friday either! Score!

...I didn't get the chance to ask the guy I fancied out. I was going to, but then I found out that he was dating someone else. He'd probably have said no anyway.
